The problem is - NinerBikes wants to charge it in 2-3 hours at certain time of day (likely in the afternoon). The rest of the day panels will be locked inside. The sun might not show its face in those 2-3 hours.
IMO, one (or the only?) advantage of portables is that they are always tilted, and easier to place where they are not shaded with trees.
