Thingamabob disconnected on top of Cummins engine

Solenoid Picture.

This is the solenoid in my C8.3 325HP engine. No connection used for second terminal, in fact there is paint, partially peeling, on the terminal which leads me to think that yours also had paint on it and has only recently lost the same. As you can see where the paint is flaked the terminal is more shiny.
