It must not have been a Barker with pneumatic tires then. You likely wouldn't have even noticed it unless you happened to see it go by. The tow vehicle makes more noise than the tote.

I've had three Barkers and everyone ended up leaking.

If you contact Barker they will replace your tank. They did for me. BTDT!

If you have 40 gallon tanks stick with the 42.
The difference in physical size is negligible however one can handle the full contents of your waste tanks one cannot.
Not having to worry about overfilling the tote as you dump is worth the effort to go with a 42.
I had a 32 gallon Barker before the 42 gallon models were introduced. I sold my 32 on Craigslist and purchased a 42.

We've been using a 42 gal. Barker the last 4 years. It's the later model with the two small, side-by-side, 6" (50 PSI) pnuematic tires in the front and larger (30 PSI) 10" tires on the rear. The only complaint we have are the front tires. They have very little volume so they go flat in only a few weeks. Outside of that it works well. We usually leave it in the bed of the truck and rarely tow it. We fill it with a macerator, drive to a nearby sani-dump, then gravity dump using the large side valve. The few times we towed it behind the truck it towed well on smooth surfaces. The two small, narrow front 6" tires don't do well on less than smooth surfaces---especially when it's full.

For us, the 42 gal. Barker works well--has the same L&W dimensions as the 32 gal---but only 2.5" higher. It's just big enough to handle our black tank and one shower each for the wife and I (grey tank). When we dump our Barker, we also fill up 5, 7 gal. containers with freshwater, which we later pump into our trailer's FW tank.
