Tire comment- don't read

Don't mean nothing today I hope, but in '94 I demanded 2 new front tires on a used Itaska I bought, They nstalled BFG. On the first cross country trip, 1300 miles on tires, blew the RF, no warning no nothing, and no warranty replacement,....said had been run under inflated. But it never was ! Kinda put me down on BFG forever.

MEX is right. Companies are bought out by other companies, sometimes nothing but the name is sold. If a Good-Old-Name helps a good product sell even better, great. If it induces sales of a sorry product, too bad...

Tires start out flexible and stiffen with age. I happen to like BFG tires, so I'm not putting them down in any way. That said, you should be experiencing a softer ride than you did on the 14-YOA's.

Anyhow, our family has bought a lot of BFG's in recent years. We've been pleased and I'm sure you will be.

Drove the new BFG tires to Florida (1600 miles.) The ride was noticably
softer. This was with 90 psi in the new tires vs 85 in the old ones.

So far so good with the BGF tires. I like them.

Any of you ever heard of "Baiting you up".
Like going in to a new place to eat & the folks there dont know you, so you get a big platter of food to make you come back.

If you been around a while & studied things over your life, you've seen how companys do, make something great & then later downsize it so the profits go up, you know the good old American way.

Those Goodyears he had, were a good tire at that time until the profit idea weezled its way in & now that friend being a tire salemans knows they aint worth a plug nickle today.

Aint life grand, all the problems we have to encounter just because of a dollar.

hope the BFG works out for you as well as the GY.

Went with the BFG at the recomendation of the tire salesman, who I have know for years. They sell tires to utility companies ect. and have had good results with this tire.

i'm curious. you ran the GY tires for 14-years and no problems. so why did you decide to go with another mfg??? :h
