How do you use a 6 volt charger with both GC2's wired in series? It sounds like a converter upgrade is in your near future. If you have everything set up right, your new GC2's and the converter should be controlled just like you had everything previously.
At the moment they aren't connected to anything or each other. The cables are made but just sitting there. What happened was I thought I only needed new batteries and then I read somewhere, "don't just replace the batteries, find out what happened!" I knew my converter was obsolete for a while now, but I only just found out how bad it was, fortunately BEFORE I hooked up my new batteries to it.
I have a splitter on the charger to maintain them individually.
I wanted the converter thing clear in my head before I did any more.
Also in the midst of this, my old Craftsman drill finally bid the world adieu. I have to make a hole to feed the cable through, because I relocated the batteries. I think that sending off for a new drill gave me just enough pause in the work flow to start over thinking and second guessing the whole thing.
BUT, actually, I had sort of half thought to KEEP them separated that way unless they were actually in use. Disconnected from the rig and each other and on the 6 volt charger, I mean.
