Toilet flange removal

Greetings,

I have a 2002 weekend warrior FS3000 toy hauler. Any suggestions on how to get the busted toilet flange off? I tried unscrewing it but it won't budge. The only thing I can think of is to break it into pieces but I'm afraid of damaging the tank.

I have a picture of the flange but can't figure out how to post it.

Thank you for your advice!
  • I wanted to see the video but it will not play. I get to the page, no video. Help!
  • Thanks so much!!! I found the video and that's the perfect suggestion:

    Have a great weekend!
  • Saw a show on PBS this last weekend on this very thing. They do make flange repair kits. The show was Ask this Old House. I don't know if Lowe's has them may have to go to plumbing supply house. You should be able to go to PBS web site and find this program and see the video. Hope this helps it was really a simple fix what they showed you do not have to remove the old flange.
  • Sorry for the nasty pic...it's been bleached and cleaned but still looks gross!
  • I would think that the flange is glued onto the pipe.

Go to Lowes and explain what you have going on. There is a flange repair kit that might work for you. Since there is no picture, it's hard to know.
