The plastic cap on the roof vent is broken. Can I just replace the cap itself, or do I need to remove and replace the entire unit? Are they universal or do I need a specific make / model / brand? ...

Eons ago I had a broken bathroom van cover. IIRR there were 3 models of covers available, I took the broken one in and matched it up. Fairly easy to replace.
