- Ron3rdExplorer IIIYou can easily remove the seal to clean it too, then re-seat it.
- John_JoeyExplorerYou'll find out it could be many things. TP stuck in the groove not allowing the paddle to close. Bend a butter knife ninety degrees and gentle scrape the groove. Or maybe even hard water crystals, pour some full strength vinegar and let it sit as long as you can. Maybe the rubber itself is hard, some use ATF and let it sit with success.
Or as you said it needs lubricant, Vaseline seems to do the trick. - NinerBikesExplorerMaybe you're not eating enough Omega 3 fatty oils and fiber? Fiber scrubs, Omega 3 lubricates.
Silicone O ring lube is preferred. - Ron3rdExplorer IIIPlumber's grease in a tube, Vasoline, veg oil, all work fine.
- DutchmenSportExplorerClean seal very well with a stiff toilet brush. Make sure you get in the groove where the slide fits. Then just put a few drops of vegetable oil on the slide, push the peddle a few times and call it a day.
