TPMS - Good brand names?

I keep thinking I should buy myself a TPMS for my TT, as I see a lot of highway time.

I had two flats on my previous TT, neither of which I noticed or felt until the tire was shredded beyond belief. And the damage to the surrounding area.....

Couple TT's before that, an old Prowler was totaled on its maiden voyage due to a tire coming apart and going un-noticed.

So - My Topaz is in decent shape, rubber is good, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I know a lot of you use a TPMS on your rig.
There are a lot of different brands to choose from.

Any input on what is good and what is not? I don't care about price, I always buy quality. I maintain that when you buy quality, you only cry once!!

TST has worked well for me too.
BUT, if you do go with a valve stem mounted transmitter, replace any rubber valve stems with metal ones.
Otherwise your system will warn you very nicely, just as a tire goes down due to a fractured valve stem.

I have a Tire Minder system. The model I purchased came with 4 tire sensors & booster. Great support & easy to set up. They also offer free battery replacements. I don't have a lot of experience with it as I just installed it this spring. It seems to work very well. I did a lot of research before purchasing this model. Very positive feedback.
    Good luck.

I have the sister unit - Tire Tech ON with 10 sensors. Friends in my GS chapter have the Tire Minder for serveal years with no issues. Got mine new on eBay with booster for under $400. JM2¢...
  • Check out TST systems. Several different styles of sensors. Adaptable to many different vehicle configurations. Shows pressure and temperature and has user-defined alarms for over or under pressure or temperature conditions.
