- clarcheExplorerThanks everyone! Problem solved. It turned out that the wire frayed apart from some type of pinching and was able to fish out the other end of the broken wire from inside a little hole to a compartment of the trailer. Wasn't easy but got it done. Time for a beer .
- The small loom on the left side of photo looks to have a white, black and green. Where does the end on the bottom of photo go?
Green in seven conductor cable is for running lights. One going to frame appears to be a ground coming from small loom.
Almost looks like some one added a pigtail for a truck mounted genset. - BFL13Explorer IISuggest you plug the trailer 7-pin into the truck and turn on the truck. Now see if everything in the trailer that is supposed to work from the 7-pin works or not. If all or some things don't work, then try it with that loose white wire touching the king pin.
- clarcheExplorerFound the problem. Wire broke off and the other end is inside the trailer not reachable. Thanks for all your input.
- clarcheExplorerThe green is for the running lights

- What is in the small loom with the green wire? What type of connector is on it?
- clarcheExplorerThe green and white wires are coming from the junction box. The green is hot. The white is not. So I'm assuming the white is the ground. The green wire runs inside the trailer and cannot be traced. Can't figure out where the white wire was attached to.
- Look in the box. I think you will find it is the ground in the umbilical cord.
- BFL13Explorer III thought it got pulled off, so you can see where it was. I thought it is part of the 7-pin. Not clear in your photo if that is correct, looking at it some more.
Maybe take the cover off that box and see what's what.
