TRIMARK entrance door latch

We have a 2015 Itasca with a Tirmark entrance door latch, it broke and was replaced under warranty before it was a year old.
Now the MH is less than 3 years old and the latch has broken again. There is a nylon like piece that is broken. There is a number stamped inside, 29412 32H. And a raised molded number RD/ENR.1993/12130.
If I get a replacement latch, is it going to break again in a couple of years, or have they improved them.
Or are there replacements by other manufactures that are more dependable/better ?

Thanks,
Dusty
  • Update,
First a correction, the mh is less than 2 years old, not 3.
I found many latches on the net that looked like our broken one, but could not tell if they were the same. So last evening we went to the RV dealership where we got the mh and looked at the new latches. The new ones that piece of plastic is now black, old white. So we are hopping that this new replacement latch will last for a long time.

    Thanks,
    Dusty

As for the plastic part (Bell Crank?)

I found my old, broken door latch this afternoon while doing something else.

The plastic part is good.. Only the metal part broke.

If yours is the same as mine.. PM me. one 'Forever' Stamp should ship it.

Mine has broke twice is 21 years, The first time I fixed it myself the second time it was replaced with a new one. Talking to others these seem to break often.

I don't know if I have a spare for that. My problem is the striker bolt breaks

I had one carved out of steel instead of the cheap ... stuff... tri-mark uses.
