I think the age of the coach is why they are recommending these things. A lot of this stuff is usually done at 100,000 miles.
I'd probably go to a ma and pa shop for maintenance on the ford. I think in the end they are taking advantage of you and the prices are extremely high - especially for TX.
Thanks for the reply! We have a good ma and pa place about two blocks from us. The problem we encountered is that they can't take the size. The Chinook is about 11000 pounds and their lifts won't accomodate it. We got the same answer from another Ford dealer who was closer to us. And a lot of the RV places are busy from a hailstorm we had awhile back, doing fiberglass work. One said really, their focus is fifth wheels, not the chassis mechanicals.
I meant to mention in the OP that I have no relationship with the Ford dealer in question. It's not like I bought a Ford there or anything. So my assumption is that their initial reply is going to be about double or triple what it should be. I.e. they'll give me a shockingly high estimate and hope I bite.
