2002 IS a completely DIFFERENT HEAD DESIGN from a 2005 and up.
Ford added more threads and switched to a completely different plug which is known as a TWO PIECE design.
2002 plug is not interchangeable with 2005 and up plug.
Do some research.

You will notice the very long reach of the plug.. The metal sleeve reaches deeply into the cylinder.. That sleeve carbons up and the carbon buildup binds in the plug hole.. The result is often a stuck plug or the plug snaps off.. Hence the special Lisle extraction tool that is a must have if you plan to DIY..
