I was at a flea market in Stuart Fla. today and there was a golf vendor there that had Trogan 605 GC batteries for sale for $89, Crown batteries 232 amp hrs for $74, and another brand that I never heard of with Sonic in it name for $64. The 605 were 210 amp hr which looked to be the same size as the 105's that I first had but the 105 had about 15 more amp hrs if I remember correctly. Has anyone used the 605's and is this a good price for them?

We just had a thread about some sort of re-branded Trojans with those specs. Can't remember what they were called - B something?

Maybe "Trogan" instead of "Trojan" was your tipoff. Are you sure they are not "knockoffs"?

It was BT-105Trojan Response: Trojan makes a "Black Box" 6V golf cart battery which is rated at 210Ah. This battery is non-maroon and is made for Trojan partners based on their specifications for their private label brands. These batteries are made in the same facility, on the same production line as the maroon battery. The maroon T-105 will have a rating of 225Ah and not 210Ah. This battery will be similar to the T-605 which has a 210Ah rating. The manufacturing quality is the same, but performance will be below the T-105. they told me that they had a warehouse that was close by that was stocked with these batteries brand-new. The batteries on display were new also but I did not have a hydrometer in my back pocket to test them.

S' cuse me, but I must be forgiven for sarcastic slang and perversion of the Inguish language at times. I nick-named Exide, Oxide years ago. Like Out Of State batteries. It's in my nature.

Oxide has a pretty sketchy reputation amongst golf course pros.

If the Crown batteries were/are CR-235's at 74 bucks that would be a really good deal. Made in the USA and (I think) better than the Trojans

Like that Rolex Oyster I passed up last week for twenty dollars. The only way I see this as having a decent product is someone is missing some batteries. Time for a hydrometer and load test. Never look a gift horse in the mouth. It might have fangs.
