Some inverters do not have a pass through function. Check manual for your inverter. Post make and model of inverter for better responses.
You may need to plug TV into another outlet. - RiverRvrExplorerProblem solved or the beginning of a new one!
Started by checking all 110 volt breakers and even going as far as to test continuity of each breaker, I found none tripped. Although, I had checked the breakers on the inverter unit last night. I decided to revisit them. After disconnecting shore power and reconnecting several times in my quest, I found one of the breakers tripped. Pushed it in and the smoke rolled out of the inverter. After the smoke cleared, everything works as it should. For now. - jerbExplorerummmm...
- nm1oqrzExplorerHello. If that was my inverter and smoke rolled out of it, it would be out of service until I found out the part that caused the smoke. Inverters don't usually smoke unless something failed.

:?
Doesn't sound like everything is alright - smoke came out of the inverter...
I have a transfer relay wired into my inverter/shore/load so the inverter is never connected to shore power, is your inverter wired this way? - RiverRvrExplorerI do have the delay in the system. The smoke was more like a puff, but enough that my wife who was standing behind me noticed it along with a loud pop. We purchased the 2005 cross country 372DS by coachman 3 weeks earlier. In preparation for our upcoming trip I was checking all electrical systems, shore power, geni and coach battery. As I mentioned earlier and to my surprise, everything still works. My only suspicion is that the dealer, when cleaning the coach for resale, used a pressure washer and something like "Armor All" every where including the storage compartment where the inverter is located. It's really sticky and shiney, but clean :-). I know the water would have evaporated but possibly the "Armor All" treatment collected on the circuit breaker and momentarily shorted out. Just a theory.
