Trying to locate porch light cover. Update!

UPDATE:
Someone has started making these again. I picked one up this weekend for somewhere around $8. It is called a "Porch Light Lens" and is made by Specialty Recreation, part number SR33101.

Went to three local shops that all said they've been out of this style for a while. I am unable to find one on eBay or several parts companies. Does anyone with an old parts catalog know a model number so I can search by that? Thanks.

P.S. Sorry about the rotation. It looks right on my computer and photobucket, but is rotated here. The light cover should be on top.

  • That looks like a Bargman Recessed lighted Assist bar. Fixture is 74-32-002 for one with no switch. NTP part 74-32-002
The replacement lens is a 74-32-030. NTP part 20-0399
Most RV stores should be able to order from the old Northwest trailer supply.
NTP lens part number is 20-0399 for about $3.50
    Stag-Parkway lens number is 31-8868
  • That was made by Bargman, and unfortunately, obsolete. I would have ordered a couple of gross if I had known- might try eBay.
  • Looks the same as the one I have for my old Citation rebuild project. I still have it around somewhere.......

Wouldn't be that hard to make one of those. Get a chunk of wood, carve it up to the shape of the inside of the light cover, then carve another piece of wood to fit the outside contour, but ever so slightly larger to allow for the thickness of the plastic cover.

Then find a suitable sheet of thin plastic - easy enough to find, lay it over the wood mold, hit it with a heat gun until the plastic is nearly melting, then squish the top mold over the top of it to force the shape.

Hold it there a few minutes until it cools, trim the edges to suit and voila! One new light cover!

I think I could do that!
