Ijust installed the TST Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems, am wondering how tight do you screw them on to the valve stem, don,t want to over do it but do not want to lose in route

The "locking device" does nothing to keep the sensor from spinning off. Only the friction from correctly tightening them will prevent loss.
