If you have to add very much air you'll find yourself removing them anyway, since they flow such a small amount of air. If I have to add 5 psi to my 16" trailer tires I'll remove them. If I ever have any go bad I will replace them with the non-flow through ones. They're just not worth it, IMO anyway.
The wheels on a dually would be the only place that I would have them.
