The more I think about this, the more I like the solar idea.
jumper cables- years ago when I could afford the most reliable gear I made up a set of double zero cables long enough to reach from the 5th to under the hood without unhooking - every now and then I have had to use the 5th to jump start the TV ;) - Now I use them to charge the house batteries when they get sucked out from too much heat over night during hunting season - this is the basis for the anderson connection.
