Is your awning a Dometic electric awning? If so, it might be a switch to the awning accessories. Yea, it took me a while to figure out what the mystery switch in my panel went too. If you see a track on your awning roller or one of your awning arms, its for the accessories to snap into. The switch activates everything attached to that track.
But then, if you don't have one, then I'm clueless what the switch might go to.
