I have wired alot of things like this and always try to use standard PVC Electrical boxes from LOWES. These come with easy install screwdriver tabs where all you do is cut the right rectangular hole in the wood panels. This will protect your 12VDC connection behind the panels.

Once the box has been installed then you can use a BLANK panel and drill the right size hole in it to mount the USB flip lid device.
Best thing to do is go to lowes and rummage thru their electrical parts to see what would work best for you... Maybe take the DUAL USB unit with you...
If you are close to the 12VDC Distribution Panel you can run a new 12VDC fused circuit to these USB units using what is called 2- conductor BOAT CABLE That looks like this...

Doing a professional install protects the next guy that may own your trailer down the road...
Keep in mind I haven't done any measurements - this is presented to give you a professional install idea using electrical components from Lowes ...
