Using camper generator to power items in house
With all of the storms and flooding that is happening, is there a simple way to use the generator in my toy hauler (Onan 5500) to power certain items in my house if electricity goes off.

We were hit by Hurricane Matthew last year and evacuated with the motorhome. After we returned from evacuating, we were without power for almost 2 days. The house fridge and freezer were still cold when we got back, so I ran an extension cord from the MH generator into the house. I connected a power strip, plugged the fridge in and had a few other outlets available for computers and to recharge cell phones, etc. We also ran a couple loads of wash off the generator. We couldn't run the drier since it is electric.
