For future reference, the Magnetec linear converter was the last converter manufactured that required a battery to operate. They stopped making them in 2003 but there were a few that got put in 2004s. Therefore all rvs manufactured since 2005 can operate with the battery disconnected. This info came directly from Magnetec many moons ago.
