Vendor Reference SKYCRAFT

Just stumbled across this website and Ooooooooooo I like what I see. Nerd Nourishment Inc.

http://www.skycraftsurplus.com/shieldedmil-spec.aspx

The link takes a person right to a specific item, mil-spec shielded, armored cable sold by the foot for Megawatt 10-turn pot electrical interference resistance. The column on the left lists a lot more stuff. Yumpin' Yimminy. Gotta abandon ship here, there's a lot of stuff to drool over, there
  • It's been a while, but I've bought a ton from them in person- back when I was a regular, there was a lot of NASA surplus stuff. There are still a lot of high tech contractors here, with a lot of surplus.
  • Even includes the Mil-Spec wire.

Traceability means instead of paying .20 foot for 14 gauge mi-spec wire, you would be paying a dollar a foot. This would be intelligent? But you would have the facts handy where the copper ore was mined and what the injection molder on that shift had for breakfast.

Kynar shielded twin wire is not a product of Wingding China. I really like their locomotive wire. If you want garbage grade wire go to AutoZone. Even NAPA's Belden wire is SAE not AWG. i love the parts store wire where looking at it from the end, the conductor is way way way off center. Skin thick on one side and heavy on the other.

I am going to buy wire from this company and smirk. Mil-Spec wire, documented or not, is serious stuff. Locomotive wire is some of themost durable on the planet. Ideal for running under chassis.
  • I really like the disclaimer at the top:

All of the wire is new and unused surplus inventory that we have purchased from various companies.
Skycraft Parts does not express, imply, nor supply any certification or traceability for any of the following wire.
