I watch the coach batteries' ammeter (mounted on the cab's dash) off and on constantly when driving down the road. Negative amps means the coach batteries are supplying current and positive amps means the coach batteries are gaining current.
After driving down the road for awhile (depending upon how low the coach batteries were after dry camping), the ammeter reaches a reading of "zero" and it bounces around that reading the rest of the time until I shut off the MH's engine.
