Most of us that had to deal with recessed batteries came up with a mounting of battery trays on TOP of the trailer frame using steel angle strips.. There is nothing wrong with extending these metal angle strips out on each side of the frames..
Some had to move things abit. I mounted four GP24 sizes battery boxes across the top of my trailer frame.
Some have moved the propane tanks more to the front to make some room...
Also TORKLIFT makes battery hangers that you mount under the frame under your trailer to hold ONE battery box.
