I hear you. Pains unfamiliar to people North of the border (i.e. of Mex border). Like one SA traveler said, when RV-ing in the US, you don't need more than 6 hours supply of anything. A disposable culture here. I prefer my things to last.
About those 8,9 etc "years". How many times it should be said that battery life is not measured in years. You can have a crappy battery lasting 10 years when you only use it 50-60 days a year.
Btw, a brief search didn't reveal any stores in the US or Canada selling that particular OP Rolls. Only some stores in Europe and AU. Maybe it's marketed here as Fullriver.
