I use a 1000.2 dish throughout the eastern USA. If you want to record from two different satellites at the same time you do need a multiple LNB device. I use a sat buddy 2 meter to set up my satellite. The satellite AR2 android app shows where the satellites are in the sky, so you can see if there are any tree issues.
Today setup was less than 5 minutes with 1000.2.
