Dump those super expensive "RV" filters as they are not and never have been intended on using more than once.
Instead, go with a whole house cartridge filter which uses a INEXPENSIVE replacement filter cartridge..

Not to mention can get much better filtration depending on the filter element you choose..
I am fond of the yarn/string wound filters for sediment and junk filtration..

Between camping you open the filter housing and dry it out..
For $2.50 a filter you can afford to toss the filter between camping..
