Do you turn off the gas when you leave at the end of your stay? I shut my valve off when we get home and next time ( a week or 2 later) I start the refer up it does the same thing as yours. Somewhere there is a very small leak I have not been able to find. I turn on a burner on the range to get gas flowing and continue to try to light the gas. when it lights I let it run for a few seconds and then turn on the refer and away we go.Maybe if I had an electronic detector I could find the leak but it's been that way for almost 10 years.
No I never turn off my bottle that I am running on. if we loose power at the deer lease my refrig will switch automatically, anf hopefully save the food I keep in there. if I had a leak my tank would be empty, and I am still on the same one from last year.
