Water leak from dometic toilet

We have a Dometic toilet that has developed a water leak. From what I can find on the internet it looks like a 300 series model. It is spraying water out the vacuum breaker. Is there anything I can try to repair this or does it require replacement? If I have to replace it do I just remove the pex line to it & pull it out of the toilet.
I have installed a shutoff valve as a temporary solution. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Yes. It only leaks when flushing. I installed a shutoff to the toilet so we can pour water directly into toilet and flush. We can still use it this way. I found the model number on the base of the toilet. It is a model 310. It is still under warranty so I may wait until I get home. I have a few other minor things to repair anyway. Thanks for your feedback.

I had the same toilet with a leak and I called Dometic and they sent me every part that I needed under warranty within days. Customer support center # is 1-800-544-4881

Thanks very much for the information. We're on the road now so I'll call when I get home. It doesn't look too difficult to replace.

  • I took the seat off and had a look. I can't see anything obvious. The campground we're at has them in stock. They're a little over $50.00. I was going to replace it but it's still covered by the warranty. I think I'll wait until I can get it to the dealer. It looks like you just remove the water line from the foot valve then pull out of the rubber grommet where it connects to the toilet.
  • Should be an easy fix now that you have a shutoff on it.
  • My toilet leaks from the valve at the floor foot flush. Small debris gets trapped and is easy to clean. I think all I needed was a phillips head to get it off.

  • On our toilet, the model number is on the back of the toilet near the floor. Use a mirror to find it.
  • If the vacuum breaker is leaking, replace it, but it would not leak except while flushing. If it is leaking all the time, it would be the water valve, also replaceable.
