water line, installing a T fitting??

Great idea on also adding a valve. Those spray heads are pretty cheaply made and I wouldn't trust one connected directly to the water supply without one.

Another vote for Flair-It fittings. Winnebago used them building my RV, and I used them whenever I did plumbing. No problems whatsoever.

Red & blue PEX used in RVs is a slightly smaller diameter than residential PEX and I am not 100% certain it is okay to use Sharkbite type fittings. However a lot of folks do that without issue and I have one in our TT as it's what I had on hand when I needed a coupling for a plumbing mod project.

I'm a fan of PEX crimp rings but I have the crimper tool. PEX crimpers can be impossible to get into some tight spaces though, making a compression or sharkbite fitting the way to go.

For another option, you might consider using Qest fittings like here. They have compression type fittings but they also have them that are 1/2" FIP and MIP threads, and if you can source the fittings, you might be able to just thread the fittings right on. The pipe connection to the toilet will be a 1/2" threaded swivel fitting and will just thread right onto a Qest tee, plus you'd need a coupling. Qest fittings are available at RV parts suppliers.

You may or may not have enough room to add the Qest fittings directly behind the toilet. I added a Qest elbow and shutoff behind our toilet and barely had enough clearance. You might also consider installing a shutoff valve at the same time. You should use a PEX tubing cutter to make sure the cut is clean and square to prevent leaks. Don't need a ratchet type and can get one like in the pic for around $5.

Another option would be to get rid of the plastic toilet if you have one, and get a porcelain one. We have one now and it sure is a lot easier to clean. Just money....

Get a water squirt bottle,......uses a lot less water, and does a better job. Worked so good I even put them in the house. DW called me a Genius, and that takes a bunch, let me tell you !

Mine works that way, but I never want to use the sprayer unless the toilet valve is all the way open so it doesn't matter.

On our Thetford Style Plus toilet, and a number of others, pressing the foot pedal halfway opens the valve to add water to the bowl, but doesn't send much pressure to the optional spray head. Pressing the foot flush valve all the way sends the full pressure to the bowl and the sprayer.

Yep, Flair-it is the way to go with Pex tubing. My trailer plumbing system was entirely manufactured with Flair-it.

I added a Flair-it tee and valve for a captive air tank installation as well as when installing a separate line off the toilet for a sprayer like you want to add. I installed a flair-it tee and a flair-it valve, then a flair-it adapter x npt male to connect a Quest Fem x male npt valve then the adapters needed for adding the hose sprayer. The reason I added 2 valves was the first valve is to throttle the flow depending on whether I was on pump pressure or shore water pressure to prevent blast back into my face when using the sprayer. I can set it and leave it. The second valve I use as the shut off valve when the sprayer is not being used

Do your self a favor and get a Ratchet Action Hose/PVC Pipe Cutter.

Just cut out 1" of the tubing and take it with you to the store of your choice and ask for help. If the person is knowledgeable you realize it right away.

Plumbing has so many adapters that it's the only thing I can think of that Congress could regulate and not make it any worse than it already is.
