Pump cycling with no demand alerts one to a leak.
You're right about the pressure switch. I should engage the brain before posting. If the pressure is indeed gone, the pump should want to run until it's pressurized again. If it leaks away with the faucet closed it should run again before anyone opens the faucet to find no pressure.
OP: Does the pump only run when a faucet is opened? How soon does it stop after you close it? A working system shouldn't run until you've used some water and continue running a bit after you stop.
