- perkiperkiExplorerOk I solved it. The pump strainer input hose had a mysterious chunk of debris in it preventing sufficient water flow. Thanks for the suggestion JMO!
- If equipped with winterizing anti-freeze valve, make sure it is closed tight.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIOpen up faucet next to water pump and let it run
Also if you have a 'winterizing kit' on pump suction make sure it is closed and not sucking air.
Check suction side of pump for any leaks.......cracked fittings/pump due to frozen water - perkiperkiExplorerI'll play with it some more but assume all valves correctly open. Will let you know later.
- BTPO1ExplorerAre the valves all lined up correctly to the pump? Strainer plugged possibly? JMO
- perkiperkiExplorerNot sure. Suspect not. It had been sputtering but now just air. Pump humms but doesn't turns off.
- ScottGNomadIs it still filling the water heater?
