Water separator/ fuel filter
Can you tell me if the engine should be running or off when draining the water separator of water. Thanks for any help Kenny

If this is a diesel RV, the primary fuel filter is on the SUCTION side of the lift pump. So the engine needs to be OFF when you open the drain.
Were you to open the drain with the engine running, it would suck air IN from the drain rather than allowing anything to drain out.
