WFCO 8900 Series Power Distribution Center

I will be in phase 2 of installing a Progressive Industries wired 30 amp EMS system in my trailer this weekend. During phase 1 of the project the plastic insert that holds the 10/2 romex in the knockout on the back of the power center was destroyed during removal and I never thought to measure what size was needed to replace it. The trailer is currently over 80 miles away so I want to take all materials with me to do phase 2 the job. I have to replace the 10/2 romex / holder that goes into the back of the power panel as it will now connect to the output of the ems. Since I just can't go outside and check for myself, can anyone tell me what size of plastic cable holder is needed to fit in the knockout of a 8900 series WFCO 110 v cable input to power center so I can get one and take it with me when I return for phase 2 to complete the installation.

For the plastic take some cloth and a tube of GOOP sealant.

All you need to do is cut the shore cord at a point where you can run it into the EMS box and connect it (both sides of the cut go into the box)

Accesability (cabinetry)and very little slack in 10/2 romex make cutting / installing in line almost impossible.
  • I just purchased some gland-nut type weather proof (liquid-proof) strain reliefs on eBay. I will post the link

when I get online with a cut n paste capable computer.

NOTE: I greatly dislike clamping polyvinyl chloride with steel. I have not used Romex Clamps in an RV for years. Houses and structures do not vibrate, and yes I have seen where romex clamps ate their way through romex, sheath, wire insulation and all.

  • I think I would make that 3/4 and 1"
    I never saw a 1/2" And 10ga romex is 1/2" in itself.
