You might want to try what I posted above first, your seal might be fine, just full of sediment or other crud.

Thetford has a procedure to give the seal a "tune up" without actually replacing it. You add hot water to the bowl after removing and cleaning the seal, and let the hot water sit in the bowl for a while. You also want to lube the seal after putting it back in. I had the same problem with my 1 year old toilet and this fixed the problem. Did not have to replace the seal.

Did you try looking down and behind and near the bottom of the base on the side opposite the flush pedal? I think mine had a label there with manufacturer and model.
