What do these two nuts do?

While cleaning out a storage bin, I noticed two nuts protruding down into the bin on a 2005 Lexington 255. One is rusty and the other looks to be stainless. The stainless has a pin through it. I think one is to manually retract the slide but I am not sure which one. If it is the stainless nut, do I have to remove the pin first before turning the nut?

My RV friend thinks the rusty nut is to vertically adjust the slide but the nut is very loose on the bolt; if he is right, does the nut have to be tightened for it to work properly or shall I leave it loose? Thanks for any input.

    The Stainless IS the manual override. You do not remove the pin. That pin is what holds the nut on the motor shaft. The other rusted is part of the slide ram assbly and I have never seen such a configuration, but usually you remove that nut to remove the ram assbly. Doug

    Is everything working to your satisfaction now? No dragging or screeching as the slide moves? Leave the things alone and enjoy. Fixing things that are not a problem is nonproductive
