The 12v radio,is it portable or wired into the system? Does the radio stay "On"? as in the face lit up all the time?
Also, check batteries with a hydrometer, accurate way to tell if you have a bad cell.
Does your friend use a water pump? how long does the heater run?
After charging from the generator, wait a half an hour, record voltage at the batts, then try not to use any 12v at all in the trailer, measure every hour and see if he is losing voltage, minor voltage loss is expected from fridge,CO detector and or smoke detector..
The 12v radio is wired into the trailer. It pulled about .05 amps, IIRC when in the off position, yes lit all the time. Yes, water pumps runs on demand, and the heater runs about an hour in the morning. Heater pulled about 5 amps. He does NOT have a hydrometer, unfortunately. Yes, he recognizes the loss from the sensors, fridge, water pump, etc, but nothing there seems out of line with any other trailer. Good idea about checking battery voltage periodically to see when the batteries are discharging and perhaps discovering the source of the draw.
We know that SOMETHING is pulling the batteries down, just can't figure out what it is!
