More information available now, but probably not everything we need to know.
The hydrometer was obtained and here are the readings from ONE battery:
1.175, 1.175, 1.200, 1.150, 1.175, 1.175
That tells me that the SG indicates that the battery is about 12.1 volts, a significant discrepancy from the no-load voltage of 12.76 when the SG readings were taken. And there is a .050 difference between the lowest and highest cell, not good.
Any other ideas on what's going on based on these readings?
