I have a group 24 DC 12v battery that I bought at WalMart, and from day 1, it has always felt a bit down on total amps available before it reaches a 50% SOC or 12.1 V.
Despite showing that it's fully charged... conks out at 14.4 V, the hydrometer is having a hell of a time getting the SG much above 1.245 to 1.250.
So, it's sitting on the Ctek now, trying to get fully charged before I try recondition mode to get the SG where it should be, if it is at all possible. Either that, or they watered down the acid with Tropical blend, in which case that battery should last a long, long time.
