I couldn't find in this thread how connectivity or wire size is defined but, from experience, I've found that most TT's have inadequate or borderline wiring used in the DC side of things. If choosing to upgrade the DC system, it might be a good time to upgrade wiring and add a few accessories like a usage monitor and a system disconnect switch.
I looked and looked at the Progressive Dynamics web site for any information about the proper wire size to use with this new PD9460 converter, but nothing to be found. Do you have a suggestion as to what wire size we should be using? I understand that 'bigger is better' but cost and effort to install are a major player here.
As I recall, you ordered a PD 9260, with the charge wizard pendant, so you can control the voltage? That means it can max at 60 amps charge rate, though the batteries charging resistance will cause it to fall off of that high a level rather quickly.
I would go with 4 gauge wire at a minimum. 2 ga if the run is longer than 15 or 20 feet and get heavy duty lugs for joining at the battery terminals.
