I haven't yet re-read my Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C warranty but a couple of comments ...
Progressive was recently sold so I'd wonder if that has something to do with this warranty denial.
There is, or was, a video hosted by the original owner himself illustrating how easy it is for an owner to install a hard wire Progressive EMS. That being the case how could the company possibly use this as a reason for denial?
My other recollection is that the Progressive EMS units are advertised as being "field serviceable". That was an attraction to me as it means I don't necessarily have to send the unit in should it ever fail but simply call the company, describe the failure, provide any error codes, and they'd send me the replacement parts via USPS. That's important to me as I live in Canada so the less I have to deal with customs the better.
Seems to me there's more to story than we know.
