I have seen too many devices burn. The latest is a melted Stanley battery charger. Fall in love with plastic duplex boxes. I used about 11 lbs of EMT in Quicksilver. 10 AWG with 20 amp breakers. Nylon receptacles in steel duplex boxes. Because of the stupidity of a landlord I had a coffeemaker catch fire in a stick & brick. 30 amp breaker twisted 14AWG wires. Burned the recetacle. Burned the pigtail burned. Right into the coffeemaker. It was an insulation fire not a short. Ugly and all I replaced the pigtail and coffeemaker is still in service. The smoke from the fourplex nearly choked me. From the 30 amp breaker box the fool has used 12 gauge. 130' worth. With THIRTY amp breaker.
