I guess I am chicken. I have choked too many times of plastic fires. Each to their own. When Quicksilver was buttoned up, when the four draggers I built were buttoned up, they all went to work and didn't stop for electrical repairs for many years. The joint venture draggers went to Alaska and worked 24/7.
Depends what a person is "satisfied" with I guess.
Thank you for the replies. I learned from this but I'm not going to change my ways. Heat buildup inside a combustible enclosure is simply to be avoided. I do not like fires, and I especially do not like ultra-toxic ones. That coffeemaker fire had me choking and nauseous for hours.
I guess that's why every component on my AC line voltage filters have a rice-grain fuse rated far below the wattage needed to reach combustion energy of the circuit board. And there are no heat producing components.
Coils in line voltage high amperage relays and contactors have metal bases. I use NEMA one through 4 metal enclosures when this stuff is used inside a dwelling.
Fussy Fussy
But to repeat - THANK YOU FOR THE EXAMPLES
