Thanks for all your diagnoses and thoughts on our late EMS unit.
Trying to figure out now what our next step is. Where the unit would go is in a cabinet with a little cubbie hole 11" x 6" x 6" (Keystones fabulous engineering).
Examining a couple or 3 of ideas.
One is to get a potable unit and put a plug on the trailer wires & a receptacle on the shore power wires much the same as soundguy's photos show, but don't know as the space is so small that having to bend the cord on the unit to get it to fit in that small space would cause more heat build up for the wires.
2nd thought is to get another hardwired unit and add female terminal disconnects to the wires and slide em over the male terminals instead of pushing the wires in under the screw terminals like before.
3rd idea is just get a portable and secure to the pedestal and hope somebody else doesn't want it more than we do.
Pictures of the cabinet the electrical junction box is in. In the cubbie hole under the electrical is the water pump & cobweb of water hoses.
