When replacing cranking battery .....

I have a 2007 Fleetwood Bounder, when replacing the cranking battery is there anything that needs to be done beside taking the old battery out and replacing it with the new battery? I know in my car I had to put in a code to reset it. I'm asking because I replaced my cranking battery and everything is not working right. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Didn't leave the plastic caps on the Battery post did you. Don't ask me how I know that.
  • You do know about + & - ? Did they give you a batt w/ + & - reversed ?

You should not need to do anything else when changing the battery.
  • I've never heard of entering a code or doing anything else after replacing a battery. If the vehicle was without power for a while the computer settings will go away but will reset themselves. Odds are you left a wire disconnected.

Every rig is different. Your owner's manual or the chassis manufacturer is your best source for this answer.

That being said, a list of what is not working properly, and what it is doing wrong, would help.
