And continuing to charge at 13.6 is painfully slow. This is why I do not recommend PM for serious boondockers. Maybe with some solar to finish the last 15/20%.
i agree as well. i see no reason why the pm4b couldn't be made to sustain 14.6v for a preset interval of, say, one hour, other than maybe a cost/price issue. they've told me they were trying to keep the cost down, and bells and whistles can get expensive. but i know i'd gladly pay the extra. and that extra hour would greatly reduce the overall charge time, i would think.
