Yes that 1 volt during absorption makes all the difference.
PMB voltage does not need adjustment. PMB needs a timer to delay the drop to normal 13.6 volts for 90 minutes. Or better would 1.5 times the duration from start to 14.6 volts similar to Battery Tender brand.
