when should a powermax pm4b drop into float mode

yes, i understand when to do E, i'm just worried about too much amperage by letting the batts decide.

my batts are four 6v rated at 215ah/20h. 5% would be ~ 11amps. MENA said his amps quickly drop to 9a, so the batts are having the final say, correct?

but MEX says better safe than sorry, so i'm still not sure which way to go. but i don't want the cost of the power source to have the final say in my decision. either. aw, so many decisions :(
